The method of the pot to clean the rags, as my grandmother did
The pot method restores even the dirtiest and dustier cloths and disinfects them thoroughly. The method my grandmother taught me is to fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add a few lemons (the ones squeezed are fine as well), a few drops of tea tree oil, an essential oil that is not only perfumed, but also has obvious antibacterial properties. Turn off the fire and soak the rags. High temperatures act as a natural degreaser and kill all germs on their own.
Wait until the water has cooled completely before squeezing the tea towels and hang them to dry. Repeat the operation at least once a week.
But this is not the only way to ensure deep hygiene.
Let’s look at the others.
Natural remedies to clean kitchen towels.
Viece and baking soda, lemon juice, Marseille soap, hydrogen peroxide, are natural remedies always present in our homes.
The hydrogen peroxide also has bleaching power and will make your fabrics clear immaculate, do not use it on colored fabrics! Pour a large glass into a bowl of hot water, then soak the tea towels for 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Finally squeeze them and enlarge them.
The juice of two lemons, diluted in a container with hot water, also has disinfectant and bleaching functions, but also softening functions. Try to leave the clothes for two hours in this mixture and you will see how shiny they will be!
In this list you can not miss the combination vinegar and baking soda: powerful disinfectants and anti-odour, are able to disinfect the tissues in depth, even the most compromised ones. Follow the disinfection process carefully, rubbing the cloths every half hour to degrease them thoroughly.
We conclude with a great classic: Marseille soap: rub it directly on the most imbued parts with dust, grease and dirt, then leave the clothes soaking for half an hour in a bowl of hot water. Rinse and roll them out.
Now you know everything about cleaning and your favorite tools will accompany you for a long time!
